Job summary

MEMS is seeking a Paramedic to provide medical care to emergency and non-emergency patients and maintain positive working relationships with all customer groups and agencies. MEMS operates 24/7 with 12- or 24-hour shifts and rotating schedules, outdoors in all weather, with physical demands including lifting up to 110+ pounds.

Starting salary is $54,912 for a metro 12 hr shift, with the full benefit package including retirement with generous match; hourly pay varies by shift and experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess Arkansas State Paramedic Certification.
• Must possess National Registry Paramedic license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum age 19; physically fit; pass physical exam.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
• American Heart BLS Level C and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to emergency and non-emergency patients.
• Maintain positive relationships with customer groups and agencies.
• Restore and promote patient health with life support and transport as authorized by protocols.
• Work in various settings, outdoors and in hospital environments as needed.
