Job summary

IES Safety, based in Gonzales, Louisiana, is seeking a qualified Paramedic / Rescue Technician to provide on-site medical coverage and technical rescue support for a large industrial construction project. Candidates must have current Paramedic licensure and relevant certifications.

IES Safety is seeking a qualified Paramedic / Rescue Technician to provide on-site medical coverage and technical rescue support for a large industrial construction project. Candidates with industrial rescue experience and technical rescue certifications are strongly preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Paramedic licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Current Rescue Technician certification preferred (Confined Space, Rope Rescue, Trench Rescue, Structural Collapse, or equivalent)
• Experience in industrial construction, emergency response, occupational health, technical rescue, or related environments preferred
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in emergency situations
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide onsite medical coverage during active work hours
• Respond to workplace injuries and medical emergencies
• Assess, triage, treat, and stabilize injured or ill personnel
• Serve as a member of the onsite rescue team and respond to technical rescue emergencies as needed
• Support confined space entry operations and rescue standby activities
• Conduct and document safety observations, identify at-risk behaviors and conditions, and communicate corrective actions to site supervision
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and rescue exercises
• Maintain medical and rescue equipment, supplies, and inspection records
• Coordinate with site safety personnel, project management, and local EMS agencies as needed
• Complete accurate and timely medical, safety, and incident documentation
• Support injury prevention, wellness, and health monitoring initiatives
• Industrial construction environment with high-risk activities, including confined space entry and other permit-required work
• Candidates with both Paramedic and Rescue Technician qualifications are highly preferred
