Job summary

LifeLine in Illinois is seeking multiple Paramedics to respond to emergency calls, provide pre-hospital care, and transport patients to medical facilities. Paramedics will perform life-saving procedures and administer medications according to Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.

Requirements include IL licensure as a Paramedic, CPR card, and ability to complete orientation. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are also required.

Qualifications

• Illinois Department of Public Health Licensure as a Paramedic.
• Current CPR card.
• Must pass Region XI CNEMS Paramedic System Entry process.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Consent to a criminal background check.
• Must be available for up to 4 day orientation class.
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital patient care as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
• Respond to emergency medical calls and provide care per Region XI CNEMS and training level.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment.
• Administer medications per Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
• Perform advanced life support measures as outlined by Region XI CNEMS.
• Mentor EMTs that are students in paramedic school (requires 1 year of Paramedic experience and/or Preceptor certification).
