Job summary

LifeLine Ambulance Illinois is seeking experienced Special Event Paramedics to join our on-site medical team for concerts, sporting events, and other large gatherings in Chicago, IL. As a Special Event Paramedic, you will provide pre-hospital care, respond to emergencies, assess patients, administer medications and perform life-saving measures under Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.

Must hold IDPH Paramedic licensure and CPR card.

Qualifications

• Illinois Paramedic license required.
• Current CPR card required.
• Must pass Region XI CNEMS Paramedic System Entry process.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Consent to a criminal background check.
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital patient care as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders
• Respond to emergency medical situations and provide care that coincides with the Region XI Standing Medical Orders and level of training
• Assess a patient's condition and determine a course of treatment
• Administer medications as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders
• Perform basic or advanced life support measures as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders

Education

Illinois Department of Public Health Licensure as a Paramedic

High School Diploma or GED

AHA BLS CPR Certificate

About the Role

LifeLine Ambulance Illinois is seeking experienced and skilled Special Event Paramedics to join our team. As a Special Event Paramedic with LifeLine, you will be responsible for providing on-site medical care to large crowds at various events such as concerts, sporting events, and more. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, maintaining your composure in extremely stressful situations to assess medical situations and perform emergency lifesaving procedures.
