Job summary

Guthrie is seeking an EMT-P to provide comprehensive pre-hospital and hospital-based patient care in the Towanda area. The Paramedic will operate in both emergency and non-emergency conditions, handling a wide range of patient presentations from chest pain to multi-vehicle accidents.

The role requires current EMT-P certification with PA DOH, recommended ACLS/PALS, CPR and EVOC credentials, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Maintains current EMT-P certification and complies with PA DOH.
ACLS and PALS recommended; CPR and EVOC required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, understand oral communication and present information.
Ability to handle traumatic situations and expectant environments.

Responsibilities

Provide BLS/ALS patient care per PA DOH protocols.
Lead in medical emergencies and trauma care.
Supervise students during training.
Operate emergency vehicle safely, including emergency driving.
Direct crew on scenes and act as triage officer during disasters.
Perform Quality Improvement duties.
Administer medications and procedures per Medical Command orders under PA DOH.
Stay informed on fire, safety, and disaster programs; attend in-service trainings.
