Job summary

The Paramedic/UKHC role will split time on UK ambulances and in the Emergency Departments at UK Chandler and Good Samaritan. You’ll respond to calls on the UK campus, perform transports, and support nursing in the ED within Kentucky scope of practice, with daily equipment checks and patient care tasks.

Required are licensed Paramedic and valid driver’s license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; some weekend work and varying shifts are expected. The role is full-time staff with light travel.

Qualifications

• Licensed Paramedic and valid Driver’s License.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• High physical stamina and ability to travel <10% of time.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls on campus and conduct transports.
• Administer medications, chart, monitor patients, and coordinate with ED staff.
