Job summary

Reeves County Emergency Services District Nos.1 & 2 is seeking an EMS Instructor - Paramedic in Pecos, TX. You will plan, deliver, and evaluate the High School EMT program under the EMS Training Division, coordinating with schools and stakeholders.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic and EMS Instructor certifications, plus BLS/ACLS; PALS within 90 days. Experience in EMS education and program development is preferred, with strong instructional and communication skills.

Qualifications

• TDSHS EMT-Paramedic Certification is required.
• TDSHS EMS Instructor Certification is required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS required.
• AHA PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Previous EMS experience preferred; previous EMS instructor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the High School EMT Program under the EMS Training Division.
• Deliver classroom, practical laboratory, and scenario-based instruction.
• Schedule and coordinate sessions, labs, clinical rotations, and internships.
• Monitor student performance and provide updates to the EMS Training Battalion Chief.
• Evaluate student competency via exams, skills tests, and scenario evaluations.
• Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and required documentation.
• Coordinate certification preparation with National Registry and TDSHS; ensure program compliance.
• Maintain communication with division, school admins, counselors and parents.
