The role you’ll contribute:

Provides patients with support, treatment, care, and evaluations prior to and during transportation.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes patients during transport under the direction of the medical director and EMS protocols.
• Provides direct medical care to patients during transport, consistent with EMS medical protocols and guidelines.
• Establishes and manages advanced airways via intubation, Laryngeal mask airway (LMA), and/or cricothyrotomy as approved by EMS protocols.
• Responsible for managing ventilators, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), and Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) during transport.
• Administers approved medications in accordance with EMS protocols.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you need to succeed:

• Graduated from a Paramedic program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Paramedic license from the respective state board or equivalent.
• Valid Class E State Driver’s License or comparable license, or a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with a driving record in accordance with facility policy.
• Completion of Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) (may be completed after hire).
