Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Paramedic program.
• National Registry of EMTs paramedic certification.
• Massachusetts paramedic certification and valid MA driver's license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and transfer of patients using appropriate modes including ambulatory assist, wheelchair, stretcher, ambulance or scoop stretcher/backboard.
• Performs detailed assessments, diagnostic tests, administers treatments as ordered, monitors infusions, and makes recommendations for patient’s care and treatment.
• Prepares patients for transport and clinically monitors patient to maintain stability.
• Administers skilled care to patients being transported. Follows clinical protocols, plans, policies and orders correctly.
• Follows safety procedures, regulatory requirements and maintains equipment and supplies.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff and public safety personnel to ensure safe patient care.
