Responsibilities

The paramedic is responsible for patient care in the Emergency Department, communicating with physicians about patient conditions, responding to clinical changes, and adhering to EMTALA regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current and valid paramedic license issued by the State of Michigan.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire, maintained current.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire, maintained current.
• PALS and/or ENPC certification within 90 days of hire, maintained current.
• Preferred: Minimum of one year experience as a paramedic in EMS or an acute care hospital.
