GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The ED Paramedic, who meets the formal education and clinical experience required by the Massachusetts Board of state licensing for Paramedics, and has successfully passed the paramedic exam, will work under the direction of the Emergency Department Director. The ED Paramedic work in collaboration with the registered nurses and other members of the Emergency Department care team providing direct patient care while working within their scope of practice.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 1 year, (2 years preferred) of experience working in the field as a Paramedic with a certified EMS company EDUCATION & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS BLS Certification ACLS Certification PALS Certification (EMT-P) Massachusetts Paramedic Certification
