Job summary

Calvert County Government is seeking a licensed full-time Career Paramedic to provide emergency medical care and hospital transport for 911 calls. You will operate under the EMS Division guidelines and report to the EMS Shift Supervisor, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

Essential duties include responding to 911 calls, performing patient assessments, administering ALS care, ordering supplies, and maintaining transport units.

Responsibilities

• Responds to 911 calls and performs patient assessment, CPR, EKG, CO2 monitoring and transport to care facilities.
• Provide Advanced Life Support care per Maryland protocols including drug administration and procedures.
• Order supplies and equipment for the transport unit; perform unit inspections and maintenance.
• Sanitize and deodorize transport units daily; ensure infection control procedures.
• Document patient care and call outcomes; maintain timely documentation for EMS records.
