Paramedic – Emergency (PRN / Evenings)

Work location: Texas Health Flower Mound, 4400 Long Prairie Rd., Flower Mound, TX 75028

Work hours: PRN, as needed, Evenings, 11:00am – 11:00pm

Training: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington Monday-Friday 8am-5pm during the first week of hire.

Qualifications - External

Here’s What You Need

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent required

+ 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required

+ 1 year experience paramedic experience in EMS or fire department preferred

+ EMT-P – Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required upon hire or

+ LP – Licensed Paramedic required upon hire or

+ ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and

+ BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly and

+ PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire and

+ CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually

+ Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.

+ Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the population-specific, developmental and diversity needs of the patient.

+ Provides safe patient care under the delegation of appropriate Physician and competency sign-off.

+ Communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team; incorporates and participates in adopted communication tools; promotes a cost-effective team by judicious use of resources; leads by example by giving priority to doing the right thing for patient care; adapts to changes in workload; demonstrates flexibility related to patient needs, staffing and patient acuity; demonstrates the ability to respectfully listen to others’ opinions; collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe individualized care.
