Job summary

Qualifications

• Current licensure as Paramedic or higher in CA, or ability to obtain.
• Ability to obtain Paramedic Accreditation in Los Angeles County.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of five years EMS work experience.
• Minimum three years teaching experience in EMS or healthcare.
• Experience coordinating, delivering, and evaluating education courses.
• Knowledge of education theory and simulation to meet learning objectives.
• Experience with distance education and supporting tech (Adobe Connect, LMS).
• Knowledge of EMT/Paramedic program policies and requirements.
• Ability to teach required skills and demonstrate procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver interactive lectures across paramedic programs.
• Instruct hands-on skills labs and simulation-based learning.
• Provide academic coaching, remediation, and performance assessments.
• Participate in curriculum development and assessment alignment.
• Engage in outreach events representing the paramedic program.
• Collaborate with department directors, staff, and students.
