Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary

Performs critical life support patient care, advanced airway management, and transport management. Operates and maintains emergency vehicles.

Qualifications

• Required Education: EMS Certificate with Community College or Associate of Science in EMS. Must maintain continuing education or re-certification as required by NC OEMS.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor in EMS.
• Required License: North Carolina EMT-P certification, NC driver’s license, and insurance compliance. Must obtain ITLS or PHTLS, BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP within one year.
• Preferred License: National Registry, UMBC CCEMT-P.
• Preferred Experience: One year of active pre-hospital care or equivalent.
