Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Paramedic Nurse Extender to support supervision by RN/Physician. You will deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

Responsibilities include patient education, information gathering, effective communication, advocacy, and oversight of unlicensed personnel. Current GA Paramedic licensure preferred; BCLS, ACLS, and PALS required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience as a Paramedic preferred.
• Licenses: BCLS, ACLS, PALS; LP license preferred.

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive patient care and education.

Work Experience

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Paramedics new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 120 Days Required
• LP - Licensed Paramedic Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia and National Registry Preferred
