Job Summary:
An exceptional opportunity for a qualified, motivated and committed Paramedic to deliver the highest quality holistic patient care resulting in the best healthcare outcomes and extraordinary patient satisfaction scores in a highly collaborative team model. Assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that they have documented competency to perform. Adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Paramedic Certification in good standing in the state of Wisconsin.
LICENSURE:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. Paramedic Certification in good standing in the state of Wisconsin is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within 1 year of hire. For incumbents in this role prior to 3/1/2024 must obtain PALS by 3/1/2025.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Fluent in English, both written and oral. Commitment to the highest ideals of the nursing profession in caring for patients. Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care. Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment. Exhibits strong decision-making skills and displays excellent communication skills. Ability to perform while under stress and work in a highly collaborative environment. Ability to document accurately and concisely and follow hospital policies, goals and procedures. Ability to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
