The community you’ll be caring for:

• AdventHealth Celebration, established in 1997 with 203 beds
• Designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney’s planned community of Celebration, Florida
• Delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk, and Lake Counties, as well as visitors from across the U.S. and the world. The role you’ll contribute:

The ED Advanced Multi Tech performs patient care under the direction of and as assigned by the Charge nurse, registered nurse, and/or physician. Performs clinical, non-clinical, and clerical services to support the efficient functioning of the nursing unit, adhering to the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures. Uses age-specific competencies in caring for all patient populations. Complies with AdventHealth’s corporate policies and all applicable regulations. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Inserts peripheral venous access (IV) and intraosseous (IO), with or without Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), hangs IV fluids without medication, and maintains prescribed IV flow rates. Observes and documents infusion site condition. Removes IV lines as directed by RN.
• Transports unmonitored and stable monitored patients to appropriate departments or units as needed, with supervision from RN or physician.
• Assists physicians or RNs with procedures and exams, such as sutures, pelvic exams, lumbar punctures, orthopedic splints, and dressings, following proper competencies and safety guidelines.
• Attaches 12-lead EKGs, completes tests, detects dysrhythmias, and notifies the team of abnormalities. Initiates oxygen therapy and performs venipuncture for testing.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Completion of a paramedic program
• Valid State Licensure as a Paramedic
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (not applicable for adult-only EDs)
