Job summary

St. David’s Georgetown Hospital is seeking a Paramedic to join our Emergency Department. You will collect and convey patient information to clinicians and physicians to support timely, safe care.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, maintaining charting proficiency, and fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and staff. Current EMT-P with BLS/ACLS per policy is required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of required Paramedic or EMT training from an accredited program.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Paramedic or EMT.
• Current Texas EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P) license required.

Job Requirements

Education

• Completion of required coursework/graduation from an accredited school for Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training
• Graduate of an Associate’s Degree program from an accredited school in Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Texas Department of State Health Services Certified Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – preferred
