Job summary

The Nemours Foundation is seeking a Paramedic for dayshift (60 hours every 2 weeks) to join the Nemours Children’s Health team in Wilmington, DE.

As part of the NCHD transport team, you will provide safe inter-facility transport, deliver ALS care, and operate under protocols or physician direction. You will also assist in staffing the transport communications center and uphold high safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited paramedic program.
• 1 year of ALS experience in pre-hospital or inter-facility transport required.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• NREMT-P, BLS, PALS, ACLS, and DE certifications required within 120 days of hire.
• Specialty certifications (PNCCT, CCEMTP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient inter-facility transport for ill and injured patients.
• Deliver advanced life support care to stabilize and transport patients.
• Operate under standing protocols or physician direction as needed.
• Staff the Transport Communication Center as required.
