Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an EMT for the Transport Team in Wilmington, DE, working a NIGHT SHIFT (1845-0715), full-time (72 hours biweekly) with every third weekend and holiday requirements. The EMT will transport patients between facilities, assist RN/RT teams, and operate vehicles under Medical Command.

The team handles diverse patient populations including PICU/NICU/ED and ECMO transports. Qualified candidates will have NREMT and Delaware EMT, BLS, EVOC, and 2–3 years EMT

Qualifications

• EMT with NREMT and Delaware EMT certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.
• EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operators Certificate) or approved equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of previous EMT experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between referring hospitals or to other facilities.
• Assist transport RN/RT and operate the vehicle under supervision.
• Provide direct care under Medical Command Officer direction.
• Support patients in PICU, NICU, ED and other units as needed.
