Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to work in the Medical Transport unit. The role requires knowledge of treatment and stabilization for patients across all age groups and adherence to Georgia Department of Public Health guidelines.

Under supervision, the EMT will perform clinical duties, operate NGHS vehicles within policy and state law, and maintain equipment and documentation to ensure readiness for transport.

Qualifications

• State certification as Emergency Medical Technician required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Level I – no experience required; pay commensurate on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and stabilization across neonate to geriatric patients.
• Operate emergency medical equipment and ambulance per NGHS standards and state laws.
• Maintain readiness of vehicle and equipment, including decontamination and inventory.
