Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department in Milton, FL is hiring a Paramedic (Basic) for a full‑time role. You will provide high‑quality patient care, including advanced medical procedures, and lead on-scene operations while supporting 911 responses with our ambulance teams.

We require active Paramedic licensure, BLS/ACLS/NREMT, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. This position offers competitive hourly pay starting at 25.32 USD per hour plus DOE, with benefits typical of GMR family

Qualifications

• Parental validations include required EMT-paramedic credentials and licensure.
• Minimum credentialed state paramedic license and related certifications (BLS/ACLS/NREMT).
• High school diploma or GED required; driving record must meet policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action per paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.
• Lead the Paramedic team on scene and manage unit operations as needed.
• Safely drive an ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! PARAMEDIC FULL-TIME Opportunity

Hourly rates starting at $25.32 + DOE

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
