Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics passionate about delivering high-quality emergency patient care. You will perform advanced medical interventions using defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and IV therapy, while leading scenes and driving ambulances on 911 responses.

You will communicate with patients and families to reassure them that care is being provided. Qualified candidates hold a CA Paramedic License, CPR/ACLS/PALS or PEPP, and state driving credentials.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• California paramedic license and related certifications required.
• Valid CA driver and ambulance driver licenses; driving record reviewed.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action per paramedic protocol.
• Provide advanced medical care using equipment and IV therapy.

• Act as team leader for scene and unit management as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• State of California Paramedic License
• CPR Card (AHA ONLY, Health Care Provider. Hand written cards are not acceptable)

• Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if conditional employment is made)

Salary Range

$22.39 - $24.98 DOE (This rate applies to a 12 and 24 hour shift.)
