Job summary

AMR in Gulf Shores, AL is seeking a Paramedic (Part-Time) to provide compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care on 911 responses and community programs.

Responsibilities include assessing calls, using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids, while leading the scene when needed and driving the ambulance. Must hold a State Paramedic License and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• Current BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• Ability to pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action while following Paramedic protocols.
• Use paramedic skills and equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance during care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.

• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act asParamedicteam leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs tomaintainAMR image andestablishstrong community relations.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
