The role you’ll contribute:
The Paramedic is responsible for the provision of care for a patient or an assigned group of patients under the supervision/direction of the Physician, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.The Paramedic assists with implementation and administration of the patient care process relative to the medical plan of care.The Paramedic uses the skills of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery.Primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate, and cost effective patient care.This performance follows established policies, procedures, and protocols under the supervision of the Physician, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
The Paramedic demonstrates collaborative and professional communication skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth.The Paramedic strives to advance from novice to expert and become an evidence-based scholar in order to provide optimal patient care and advocate on behalf of his/her patients.The Paramedic serves as a role model for the mission, vision, and values of AdventHealth. S/he is accountable for working within the parameters of the approved scope or practice, all regulatory standards and established policies, protocols and procedures set forth by the Medical Director and designees.
