Position: ALS Technical Partner (Paramedic) - Emergency Dept. Flex Per Diem Nights

Location: LVH - Gilbertsville Neighborhood Hospital - 21 bed Small-Format Hospital (11 ER, 10 Inpatient)

Summary

The ALS Technical Partner is a paramedic responsible for providing quality care directly and indirectly to patients throughout their treatment in the Emergency Department. They work in cooperation with the treatment team to provide professional care, adhering to policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort. The ALS Technical Partner operates under the supervision of Emergency Department providers or nurses.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to assess needs of acute and chronically ill patients and their families
  • Proficient in documentation and communication using computer and paper tools
  • Age-specific competencies in caring for patients from neonates to geriatrics
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
  • Ability to develop and execute care plans and intervene in life-saving procedures
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS (Pennsylvania)
  • Paramedic Certification: PA EMT-P or NREMT-Paramedic (Pennsylvania)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree
  • PHTLS Certification
Physical Demands

Lift and carry 40-50 lbs, perform activities like pushing/pulling patients, lateral transfers, standing/walking for extended periods, and specific activities like kneeling, bending, and CPR.
