Lakewood Health System is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join its EMS team at the Main Campus in Staples, MN. The role focuses on providing ALS and BLS care, coordinating inter-facility transfers with EMTs and other EMS professionals, and supporting the EMS team with urgent and non-urgent patient care.

The ideal candidate holds current paramedic certification, CPR, a valid Minnesota driver’s license, and strong clinical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a paramedic and CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license and insurability.
• Strong knowledge of emergency medical protocols and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and effective medical care in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical histories, to determine the appropriate course of action.
• Participate in critical care transport and inter-facility transfers, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients.
• Collaborate with the rapid response team to effectively manage emergencies throughout the hospital.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in emergency medical care.
