Allegheny Health Network seeks qualified EMS personnel to provide emergency medical care in the prehospital setting. You will operate emergency response vehicles, administer BLS/ALS, and maintain unit readiness while ensuring regulatory documentation is accurately completed.

A commitment to patient care and safety is essential. Candidates should have PA Paramedic licensure or EMS Compact Privilege, with HIPAA and privacy guidelines observed at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• For Prehospital Response Unit: 5 years’ relevant experience and current preceptor status
• Medical Command eligible PA Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the Paramedic level or licensed PHRN
• Preferred Basic Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Haz-Mat Technician. IC S 100, 200 and IS 700, 800, ABLS and ASLS
• One year experience (AHN EMS)

There are (2) positions available

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the Prehospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of Emergency Medical Care.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives emergency or response vehicle.
• (20%) Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide basic and advanced life support to the critically ill and injured during treatment and transport in the prehospital setting.
• (50%) Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards.
• (15%) Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards.
• (15%) Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
