Job summary

Cole County Emergency Medical Services is seeking a Paramedic to provide high-quality patient care at both BLS and ALS levels. The position reports to the Battalion Chief and operates under EMS Medical Director guidance with departmental leadership support.

The role requires an active Missouri Paramedic license, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work under stressful conditions. Full-time, hourly, non-exempt status with comprehensive public safety benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited paramedic program.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and determine priorities for emergency care.
• Provide advanced life support per Missouri EMS scope and Cole County EMS protocols.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Coordinate scene management and communicate with medical control and receiving facilities.
• Adhere to HIPAA and protect patient information at all times.
