Job summary

Geisinger in Pennsylvania seeks a certified paramedic to provide pre-hospital advanced life support in accordance with the Pennsylvania EMS Act (37-2009) and regional protocols. You will respond to dispatched calls within defined geographic coverage, perform patient assessments, convey findings to Medical Commander, and administer care per triage and transfer protocols.

Qualifications

Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required)
Certified Paramedic and BLS certification required
Valid Driver's License required
Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator certification required

Responsibilities

Responds to dispatched calls within defined geographic coverage area to enhance community advanced life support services.
Abides by all Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Laws.
Performs patient assessment and conveys pertinent findings via two-way communications to Medical Commander.
Administers care within the scope of practice and regional protocols.
Assists in coordinating with local Fire and Rescue personnel during EMS operations.
Maintains readiness of vehicle and equipment; completes shift-change checks and writes reports.
