Qualifications

• Six months experience as a paramedic with an accredited EMS agency or Fire Department.
• CA Paramedic Certification required upon hire and successful completion of local accreditation.
• American Heart Association CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications upon hire.
• Valid CA Driver's License and Ambulance Driver certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
• Rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions.
• Safely operate emergency vehicles and document care.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
• Enter patient data into the computerized patient care reporting system accurately.
• Administer medications and perform procedures per Paramedic certification and local protocols.
• Participate in patient care planning and problem identification.
