Job summary

AMR, part of Global Medical Response, is hiring a full-time Paramedic in Missouri to deliver advanced patient care and lead on-scene operations. Responsibilities include assessing calls, managing medical equipment, and driving ambulances on 911 responses.

Strong teamwork with public safety is required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Kansas Paramedic certification (or eligible), valid state driver's license, and BLS/ACLS on hire; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification.
• State Driver's License.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS is preferred, but not required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices and IV fluids to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
