Job Summary:

The Paramedic independently assesses patients to activate care protocols within the Tennessee paramedic scope and Vanderbilt's specific practices. Responsible for triage in the field and Emergency Department, ensuring safe, effective communication for quality patient care during transport and handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate with healthcare team members to provide direct patient care.
  2. Transport patients using various modes, providing ALS and Critical Care management for all ages.
  3. Respond to emergency requests at Vanderbilt and related events.
  4. Use problem-solving skills to resolve patient issues and implement solutions with the healthcare team.
  5. Identify and resolve patient and unit problems effectively.
  6. Communicate patient handovers clearly to the healthcare team.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned.
