Action Ambulance Service Inc. in Wilmington, NC is hiring full-time, part-time, and per diem Paramedics to provide pre-hospital care and non-emergency transportation. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients, communicating with centers, and maintaining equipment and vehicle cleanliness.

Requirements include Paramedic certification, state driver's license, and AHA BLS and ACLS. Physical demands involve lifting and prolonged standing, with training and ongoing education encouraged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reassuring patients and bystanders by working in a confident, efficient manner.
• Assess, stabilize and treat patients in accordance to MA and Action Ambulance standards.
• Provides communications to various communications centers and notifies receiving facilities when appropriate.
• Avoiding mishandling and undue haste while working expeditiously to accomplish the task.
• Cleans all equipment following appropriate disinfecting procedures
• Decontaminates the interior of the vehicle after transport of patient with contagious infection or hazardous materials exposure.
• Ensures that the ambulance is clean and washed and kept in a neat orderly condition in accordance with local, state or federal regulations.
• Attends refresher and continuing education as required.

General Function:

Paramedics provides care according to the Statewide Treatment Protocols. Paramedics check equipment and supplies and maintain their assigned facility. Also provide non-emergency transportation.

Major Responsibilities
