Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics in Victorville, CA to deliver high-quality emergency and advanced patient care. You’ll drive the ambulance on 911 responses and lead scene operations while using paramedic equipment and protocols. Position requires CA Paramedic license, AHA CPR/ACLS, and related licenses, with potential for community outreach involvement.

Compensation ranges with experience from an hourly rate and DOE, and AMR offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of Global Medical Response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• CA Driver’s License and Ambulance Driver’s License.
• Paramedic license/certifications required.
• CPR and ACLS certifications from AHA.
• DMV Medical Examiner’s Card and driving record compliance.
• ICS courses IS-100B/200B/700A/800B.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action per Paramedic protocol.
• Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, IVs.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader for scene and unit management.
• Drive ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
