Job summary

City Ambulance Service is hiring Paramedics to support our expanding Texas operations. This on-the-road, full-time role uses rotating schedules (e.g., 48 on/96 off; 24 on/48 off; Kelly schedule) across Houston and surrounding areas.

A Texas Paramedic license is REQUIRED and 2 years EMS experience is preferred. Pay starts at $77,096 to $93,856 per year, with Paramedics earning $105,248–$128,128 by working 72 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 2 years EMS experience preferred.

Paramedics can make between $105,248-$128,128/year (depending on experience) by working 72 hours/week

48 ON/96 OFF or 24 ON/48 OFF or Kelly schedule. Schedules vary by location and are subject to change.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation, we have multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, San Angelo, Lubbock, Temple, Killeen, Round Rock, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, etc. We are currently looking to expand our team of Paramedics here in Houston, Texas and Surrounding areas. We are currently seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated Paramedics to join our team. We are looking for team members that can provide the advanced level of patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect from City Ambulance Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report their observations and treatment to physicians, or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
• State of Texas (or other compact state) Paramedic license REQUIRED.
• 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.

Expected Pay Per Year:

• $77,096/yr up to $93,856/yr (depending on experience) working a full-time rotating schedule.
• Paramedics can make between $105,248-$128,128/year (depending on experience) by working 72 hours/week.
