Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Paramedic license and ambulance driver's license required.
• Medical Examiners Card and state driver’s license required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS or PEPP/ITLS or PHTLS certifications required.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass physical agility test.

Responsibilities

• Assess call situations and determine actions using advanced protocols.
• Provide medical care with equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families for reassurance and information.
• Lead scene and unit management as a team leader when required.
• Drive ambulances during emergency responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to strengthen relations and organization image.
