Job summary

Assist Ambulance is seeking new and experienced Paramedics to join our Bronx base, full-time and part-time. We are a New York City EMS agency offering a full range of emergency medical and transportation services throughout the five boroughs. Assist has a 30 year history of providing these services to NYC communities.

Qualifications

• Active NY State EMT-P card and NYC REMAC required.
• Paramedics without experience welcome if fully certified at application time.
• At least 20 years old with 1 year NYC driving experience.
• Must have a valid, clean NYS D Class driver’s license.
• Must be physically fit to lift 125 lbs and pass lifting assessment.
• Must pass 10-panel drug screen and 19A clearance.
• Criminal history considered under NYC Fair Chance Act.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency medical calls in NYC.
• Provide paramedic-level care and patient transport.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Assist Ambulance is looking for new and experienced Paramedics to join us full-time and part-time at our Bronx base! Assist is a New York City EMS agency offering a full range of emergency medical and transportation services throughout the five boroughs. Assist has a proud 30 year history of providing these services to the diverse and vibrant communities of NYC. Assist Ambulance offers Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support via emergency and non-emergency ambulance transports for various hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, doctor's offices, and community-based organizations.

Job Requirements:

• Must have an active NY State EMT-P card and NYC REMAC - NREMT card is not accepted alone
  
  • Paramedics without any experience are welcome to apply as long as they are fully certified at time of application
• Must be at least 20 years old with 1 years driving experience in New York City

• Must have a valid, clean NYS D Class driver’s license
  • DJ licenses are not accepted

• Must be physically fit to lift 125 lbs. in accordance with the NYS DOH and pass a lifting assessment
• Must be able to get 19A physical clearance and negative PPD test (vouchers provided)
• Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screening
• Must be able to commit to at least two 12-hour shifts per week that are the same days every week (steady shifts)
  • Per diem is not available at this time, only part time or full time steady scheduling

• Must be good with people and able to act responsibly under extreme duress
• Applicants' criminal history will be considered consistent with the requirements of the New York City Fair Chance Act
