Job summary

AMR in Burlingame, CA, is hiring Paramedics for full-time roles with immediate start available. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus with commitment and pays $34.76 per hour, with potential for increases on 12-hour shifts.

The Paramedic will deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care, operate advanced medical equipment, and lead on-scene operations while coordinating with other responders and community programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License required.
• Ambulance Driver's License required.
• Medical Examiners Card required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS required.
• Driving record compliant with policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action using Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.

PARAMEDIC

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.

• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
