Witham Health Services in Indiana is seeking a Paramedic to respond to emergency calls, evaluate and treat patients, and determine transport needs based on patient presentation.
The role includes non-emergency transports and interacting professionally with family, bystanders, and other responders; rotation will occur in Lebanon and Jamestown.
The duties of the Paramedic are very broad. A Paramedic is expected to respond to emergency calls, evaluate and treat patients, and make transportation determinations based on patient presentation. In addition, Paramedics will provide care for patients being transported in non-emergency situations, such as hospital to hospital transfers or transports from the hospital to other destinations. Patients may be critically ill or injured, and may present in emotional states that render them incapable of rational decision making. A Paramedic must be capable of interacting professionally with family members, bystanders, and other responders.
Experience:
One (1) year of pre-hospital emergency care is helpful, but not necessary.
