Job Overview

The Paramedic will provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to patients.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Current Driver's License and must satisfy the current vehicle insurance company's requirements
• NJ Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic Certification (eligible for reciprocity)
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR)
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Hazmat Awareness Certification
• Must possess ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700, 800
• Must have completed Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training

Preferred

• PHTLS/ITLS
• Associate Degree

Scheduling Requirements

• Per Diem: Must provide 10 shifts of availability, work 6 shifts over 3 months, including 1 summer and 1 winter holiday, plus 2 weekend shifts within the region.
• Part Time: Two shifts per week, totaling 4 shifts over 2 weeks, including at least 2 weekend shifts, in the hired region, working 24 hours/week.
• Full Time: Three shifts per week, including weekends, in the hired region, totaling 36 hours/week, on a rotating schedule.

Essential Functions

• Maintain professionalism, communication, and safety standards.
• Operate department vehicles per laws and policies.
• Complete all required documentation and training.
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders.
• Perform routine safety and maintenance duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
