Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. You will transport patients to and from medical facilities and participate in scene calls, upholding high safety standards for crew and customers.

Responsibilities include completing electronic patient care records, performing daily base checks, and delivering pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care with meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in states served by assigned area.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma certification required prior to flight status.
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
  • NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required time frame.
  • Perform daily base checks including narcotics count.
  • Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff, with thorough documentation.
  • Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
  • Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures as required.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS agencies, hospitals and the public.
  • Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission briefings/debriefings.
  • Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot coordination as needed.
  • Adhere to safety standards to ensure safety of self, crew, patients and equipment.
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings and fill shifts as directed by Regional Director.

Flight Paramedic – Starting at $20.92+ DOE

We’re hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame
  • Responsible for daily base checks, which includes narcotic count
  • Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough patient care documentation
  • Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences
  • Maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual
  • Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public
  • Function as a medical flight member
  • Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefing and complete necessary documentation
  • Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and provide pilot assistance when needed, including radio, navigation, and visual observation activities
  • Comply with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed
  • Responsible for filling open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting
Education
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
Certifications and Licenses
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma certification required prior to flight status
  • Advanced Certification (FP‑C) preferred; required within 24 months from date of hire
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • NREMT‑P certification may be required in assigned area
