Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring for a Full-Time Paramedic in Brockton, MA.

Type: Full Time

Shift: Overnights

A New Day

Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital Emergency Department (ED) has undergone a renovation concluding in 2024 to better meet the needs of our patients and staff. The ED cares for patients of all ages, supporting our diverse community. The ED includes 49 beds, including a secured 12-bed area for behavioral health patients. The ED team includes RN, LPN, Paramedic, Technical, and Clerical staff, working closely with Security and other ancillary services.

Paramedic Roles and Responsibilities

1. Provide emergency care to patients utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
2. Document patient information, condition, and treatment accurately.
3. Maintain patient confidentiality and respect patient rights.
4. Transport patients according to policies and procedures.
5. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
6. Provide basic life support as delegated.
7. Understand customer needs, provide correct information, and resolve problems with logical thinking.
8. Work calmly and logically under tense situations.
9. Respond appropriately to unexpected situations and interruptions.
10. Accept constructive feedback and take corrective actions.
11. Manage difficult patients with regard to safety.
12. Interpret instructions in various formats.
13. Use appropriate judgment in communications with patients, physicians, coworkers, and outside agencies.
14. Demonstrate interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
