Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is seeking a Paramedic to join our Polk County EMS team, delivering high-quality pre-hospital care with skill and compassion during 24-hour rotating shifts.

You will assess scene safety, initiate advanced life support, communicate with receiving facilities, transport patients, and maintain ambulances and equipment while completing clear documentation throughout 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Paramedic training course and NAEMT 8 hour class completed or in progress.
• Newly hired employees must obtain Emergency Vehicle Operations certificate within 120 days.
• Missouri EMT-P license and Missouri Class E Driver’s License required; HazMat Ops, NIMS100/200/700, and NRP within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital services using appropriate equipment and procedures for all age groups.
• Assess scene safety and utilize resources to determine scene safety.
• Initiate advanced life support and perform initial patient assessment.
• Communicate patient status to receiving facility via radio/telephone.
• Transport patients and coordinate with other transport or care options as needed.
• Maintain ambulances, garages, and equipment; complete logs and reports clearly.

• Schedule - Shift - Hours Full Time - Variable - 7a to 7a

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MOis seeking a Paramedic to join our team in the Polk County Emergency Medical Services Department! —Someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positivelyimpactevery patient and family we serve.

• Status: Full-Time
• WorkShift:24 hours/Rotating
• Hours:7am-7pm, 76 hours per pay period

What Your Day Looks Like: You will provide pre-hospital services utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served including neonate, infant / pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.

As a Paramedic, you will be:

• Assessing and determining scene safety,or utilizing community ororganizational resources to assess and determine scene safety
• Initiating advanced life support and making an accurate initial assessment of patients' conditions
• Utilizing appropriate radio, telephone, and / or other communication skills to effectively communicate patient status to receiving facility
• Transporting patients, utilizing other methods of transportation, or relinquishing patient care as per state guidelines and / or medical control
• Maintaining ambulances, garages, and equipment by cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking inventory items after each response
• Completing logs, forms, reports, and documentation in a clear and timely manner

Qualifications

• Education: Appropriate Paramedic training course;National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) 8 hour class; newly hired employee have 120 days to obtain an Emergency Vehicle Operations certificate
• Skills/Experience: Patient care, customer service,1 year prior experience preferred
• Licensure/Certification: Missouri EMT-P license and Missouri Class E Driver’s License required; HazMat Ops, NIMS100, 200, 700, and NRP certification within 12 months of hire
• Physical Requirements:Frequent lifting and carrying more than 100 lbs; frequent bending, stooping, walking, and occasional short-distance running; ability to transfer patients in awkward positions to ambulances; maintaining endurance throughout 12-hour shifts
