Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; two years of related experience.
Certified Paralegal preferred; knowledge of on-line legal research services.
Pass criminal background investigation.
At-will employment; no civil service or appellate rights.

Responsibilities

Draft pleadings, motions, orders, case information statements, interrogatories, and requests for admissions, and other discovery documents.
Meet and interview clients in court to collect information, advise on the court process, schedule hearings and subsequent interviews.
Assist with the preparation of briefs to courts and trial preparation.
Meet with witnesses; coordinate collection/review of files; obtain reports/analysis from experts.
Draft questions for witness examinations at depositions; coordinate discovery to provide information to opposing party.
Maintain litigation docket, calendar, deadlines, and repository; track court rulings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
