Job summary

Kahana Feld is seeking a Paralegal Support Services Specialist to provide coverage across multiple practice groups, including triage and handling of PTOs and absences. This role supports trial and project overflow while maintaining continuity of legal support across departments.

The candidate should have 5+ years of paralegal experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with legal software. Hybrid work arrangement after 90 days is expected, with office presence in Austin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience working in a legal environment; JD degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
• Litigation and insurance defense experience preferred.
• Experience across multiple practice areas is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of all stages of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal triage and cover planned and unplanned absences across practice groups.
• Draft, edit, and manage legal documents such as pleadings and discovery.
• Assist with legal research, cite-checking, and document review.
• Coordinate filings with state and federal courts and understand e-filing processes.
• Maintain and organize case files and document databases.
• Support trial preparation and logistics, including exhibit preparation.
