Role Description The Paralegal – Personal Injury/Workers Comp role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. This role supports attorneys in managing personal injury and workers’ compensation cases from intake through resolution, including organizing case files, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines. Daily responsibilities include preparing and filing legal documents, drafting correspondence, collecting and reviewing medical records, and summarizing evidence for attorney review. The paralegal conducts factual and legal research, assists with discovery responses, and coordinates communication with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and court personnel. The role also involves preparing settlement documents, monitoring case progress, and ensuring that all required documentation is accurate, complete, and timely.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law related to personal injury and workers’ compensation, including familiarity with litigation and claims processes.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.
• Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, medical providers, insurance representatives, and court staff.
• Effective Research and Document Review skills to analyze medical records, insurance documents, and case-related evidence.
• Relevant experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in personal injury and/or workers’ compensation practice.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Proficiency with legal case management software and standard office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PDF tools).
• Ability to work collaboratively in an office setting, maintain client confidentiality, and manage multiple cases and priorities.
