This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently and can bring structure and consistency to legal processes, effectively triage requests, and keep legal matters moving forward in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

All of True Classic's roles are global and omni-channel, leading designated areas of accountability across all product categories, countries, and sales and marketing channels. This role will have impact across DTC, retail, wholesale, marketplaces, and emerging channels, ensuring strategic alignment and executional rigor across the enterprise.

Areas of Accountability
Contract Management & Lifecycle Support
  • Own the day-to-day administration of the contract lifecycle, ensuring agreements are reviewed, executed, tracked, stored, and renewed on time.

  • Draft and redline routine commercial agreements from approved templates, including NDAs, vendor agreements, affiliate and creator agreements, and wholesale agreements.

  • Review agreements prior to execution to identify key terms, obligations, risks, and items requiring escalation or further negotiation.

  • Coordinate contract revisions and negotiations with internal stakeholders, counterparties, and legal counsel, as appropriate.

  • Route agreements for approval and signature and follow through to ensure contracts do not remain unsigned or incomplete.

  • Maintain the contract tracker and DocuSign repository, including key dates, renewal periods, termination rights, notice requirements, and other material obligations.

  • Proactively manage upcoming renewals, expirations, and contractual deadlines with business owners.

Legal Intake, Triage & Operations
  • Serve as the primary intake point for day-to-day legal requests from teams including Marketing, People/HR, Operations, Finance, and other business functions.

  • Assess and triage incoming requests, resolving routine administrative matters and escalating issues requiring legal judgment to counsel.

  • Gather relevant background, documentation, and business context before matters are escalated to counsel to support efficient review and resolution.

  • Coordinate signatures, documentation, filings, records, and other legal materials as needed.

  • Support legal research, document preparation, information gathering, and special projects across the Legal function.

  • Help develop and maintain repeatable legal workflows, templates, trackers, and processes as the organization scales.

IP, Brand Protection & Compliance
  • Maintain the company's trademark docket, including monitoring renewal deadlines, filing requirements, and related documentation.

  • Monitor for potential trademark infringement, counterfeit products, unauthorized listings, and other misuse of True Classic's intellectual property.

  • Prepare and submit routine DMCA takedown notices, platform abuse reports, and other brand protection requests, escalating more complex matters to counsel as appropriate.

  • Support corporate entity maintenance, business licenses, registered agent filings, and other recurring corporate compliance requirements.

  • Conduct and maintain basic vendor due diligence documentation, including W-9s, certificates of insurance, and other required records.

Privacy, Records & Legal Administration
  • Support ongoing privacy and data compliance initiatives, including maintaining privacy policies, consent records, and related compliance documentation.

  • Assist with identifying and tracking privacy or data compliance gaps and coordinating remediation with relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Support the intake, tracking, and fulfillment of data subject requests and other routine privacy-related matters.

  • Centralize and maintain the Legal team's document and records repository, ensuring contracts, correspondence, corporate records, and other legal documentation are organized and searchable.

  • Establish consistent filing and naming practices to ensure legal records can be efficiently located and retrieved.

  • Review invoices and billing statements from external law firms and legal service providers for accuracy and alignment with agreed-upon rates and services.

  • Identify billing discrepancies or questions and coordinate resolution with external counsel and internal stakeholders.

  • Support tracking and reporting of outside legal spend as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with teams across the business to facilitate contract review, approvals, execution, renewals, and other routine legal needs.

  • Work closely with Finance on outside counsel billing, legal spend, vendor documentation, and related administrative matters.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, People/HR, Operations, Technology, and other business functions to support legal, privacy, compliance, and brand protection needs.

  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and third-party service providers on contracts, intellectual property, corporate filings, compliance matters, and other legal activities.

Qualifications
