Job Description

Job Description

The Veterans Law Office is a national veterans disability law firm seeking a college graduate as a Paralegal to begin working immediately. Our firm’s practice focuses exclusively on representing disabled veterans in claims for disability compensation before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Many of our clients suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

A successful candidate will be committed to using the law to help veterans who cannot help themselves obtain the disability benefits they deserve as a result of their service. No prior legal experience or training is necessary. A successful candidate must be reliable, follow through on all assignments, and take initiative. Excellent speaking and writing skills as well as exceptional attention to detail are a necessity. We will train the successful candidate in the necessary skills. Duties will include interacting with clients via telephone, analyzing claims documents, and completing basic administrative and scheduling tasks.

Salary is commensurate with experience. The Veterans Law Office provides all employees and their dependents with contribution-free health, vision, dental, and life insurance. Additional benefits include three weeks of firm break per year in addition to paid time off. This is a 36-hour-a-week (four nine-hour days), work-from-home position.
